- Collect the urine sample: Ensure that a clean and uncontaminated urine sample is collected in a suitable container.
- Dip the drug test strip: Immerse the test strip into the urine sample for a specified amount of time, usually a few seconds, as indicated in the instructions.
- Wait for the results: Lie the test strip flat and allow the result to develop for the recommended duration. Typically, results can be read within 5 to 10 minutes.
- Interpret the results: Examine the drug test strip for the presence or absence of lines or colour changes, as indicated by the manufacturer's instructions. Two lines on the drug test strip ( a control and a Test line) is a negative result ie no drugs detected. If just one coloured line ( the control ) is visible, that is. a positive result ie the drug has been detected.
